Robust Analytics wants to hire a summer intern to support our new study for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. We are developing speech-to-text technology applications for aviation and need someone to transcribe audio communications between air traffic controllers and pilots. We will use the transcriptions to customize IBM Watson speech-to-text software, turning Watson’s machine-readable transcriptions into algorithms to detect compliance anomalies. We have the audio files, we need a student that wants to contribute to an exciting research project in the important domain of aviation safety. We are looking for a college student willing to work fulltime this summer listening to audio tapes and transcribing them. You will to learn a lot about aviation, such as how aircraft operate safely at one of world’s busiest airports. We will teach you the aviation, you bring the willingness to learn! If this works out, we should be able to offer part-time work during the school year.
